A policeman from Shopian, who is posted in Kathua district of Jammu region, has gone missing, official sources said on Friday. They said that the constable Ishfaq Ahmad, a resident of Heff Shirmal village in southern Shopian district had returned home on leave. However, it has been more than four days that he has not reported back to duty at DPL Kathua. Normally, it takes less than a day from Shopian to Kathua by road, they said. "The police has registered a case after a missing report was submitted by his family". A police officer said that cognizance has been taken and investigations are underway to trace out the missing cop. "We are looking into all the angles, whether he has joined militants or other possibilities", he said.
